Roze Filmdagen (Pink Film Days)

About the festival

De Roze Filmdagen tries to highlight as many aspects as possible of good LGBTQ+ films for a wide audience by showing films, documentaries, and short films. A film selection such as this generally does not reach the general public through mainstream cinemas.

Most film screenings and events traditionally take place in Het Ketelhuis and other locations on Westergasterrein. Check out the Roze Filmdagen website for more information and the programme. More than 140 films of various themes are shown during Roze Filmdagen.

About the programme

The quality of the programme has given the festival its reputable reputation, with audiences as well as filmmakers and festivals around the world.

In 2025, there is a diverse fringe programme where, in addition to an online talk show, Roze Filmdagen introduces visitors to new forms of storytelling through films in virtual reality, as well as an exhibition.

In the exhibition, artist and photographer Henri Verhoef takes you to a futuristic version of Amsterdam as a queer Utopia. In his photo series, specially developed for Roze Filmdagen, you will discover portraits of mutant queer aliens crafted by Verhoef through the use of artificial intelligence.
