In addition, the theater regularly organizes a Salon during a performance so that the public can become more acquainted with, for example, the theme of the performance, the history of a play or the working method of a director.
Open Stage
Every month the theater makes room for Storm, the Open Stage of Schouwburg Amstelveen. Young and old talent from Amstelveen and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to show his or her skills on a real stage, under the supervision of professional light and sound technicians.
Accessibility
Schouwburg Amstelveen has one or two spaces for wheelchair users in all the halls. If you would like to use this facility, please email kassa@schouwburgamstelveen.nl with your name, the performance(s) you would like to attend, the number of people attending and the telephone number where you can be reached during the day.
For the hearing impaired, the theatre offers hearing aids in both theatres. You can borrow a free hearing aid from the cloakroom on payment of a deposit. However, the number of hearing aids is limited. Please return the hearing aids to the cloakroom after the performance.
Cinema Amstelveen
Cinema Amstelveen shows the best children's films and the best cinema films for adults throughout the season. During the holidays there are special festivals for the children with many extra films and of course it is possible to organize a special children's party in combination with a visit to the film.
Business events
In addition, Schouwburg Amstelveen is a very suitable location for various business events from 20 to 1,000 people.
