In the Chapel of LAB 111 Richard Bolhuis will perform with Olmo Asmussen (drums), Carol Anne McGowan (vocals), and Vincent Swierstra (sarangi). Meditative soundscapes and raw folk songs flow seamlessly into one another. They will also perform songs from Richard’s former Dutch-Irish collective House of Cosy Cushions.

A combination of ecology, sound and imagination

Richard Bolhuis (NL/EN) created audiovisual installations at Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven), Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam), Groninger Museum, The Model (Sligo) and Hundred Years Gallery (London). In his long-term regenerative project Kollumerpomp he interweaves ecology, sound and imagination. Richard’s album We Are Guided by the Same Stars will be released on vinyl, cassette and CD on March 20, 2026, featuring handmade, screen-printed covers.
