Following last year's successful concert, the Gran Orquesta de Tango Amsterdam returns to the Buiksloterkerk for a festive conclusion to the season.
Twenty musicians bring the Argentine tango to life in a rich, full orchestral setting. The program traces the energy of D'Arienzo, the lyricism of Troilo, the layered power of Pugliese, and the innovative work of Piazzolla, complemented by contemporary compositions.
The concert consists of two parts. In the first part, listening takes center stage. In the second part, the dance floor opens up, creating a lively encounter between orchestra, dancers, and audience.
Afterwards, there is a tango salon with a DJ.

Gran Orquesta de Tango Amsterdam is based in Amsterdam and is part of Tango Orkest NL, led by Kay Sleking.
