From raves to buzzy street parties, WorldPride Amsterdam (25 July to 8 August) looks to harness what Unity, this year's theme, truly means in the Dutch capital.

Pride Park

Best for: Community spirit

In the heart of Vondelpark, celebrate freedom and diversity in what's dubbed the 'Park of Love'. The Vondelpark Open Air Theatre and the Tropical Stage are the heartbeat of the festivities, featuring speakers, sports, debates, and music – a relaxed, low-key way to welcome in the WorldPride weeks in Amsterdam.

  • 25 July 2026, 12:00 - 22:00 | Vondelpark Open Air Theatre | tickets here

Milkshake

Best for: Daytime festival fun

Complete with a memorable blend of music, performance, and style, Milkshake Festival has become one of Europe's most beloved queer festivals. It’s a ‘come as you are’ party, as long as that includes an outfit that reflects whatever that means to you. Open-minded and dancey, it's a weekend-long celebration, with Sunday being a hotspot for locals. And with nine stages and a kaleidoscope of performances, choice is one thing you always have. Milkshake provides a platform for artists from underrepresented groups while also featuring household names like Mel C, Sugababes, Jessie Ware, and Trixie Mattel on the main stage. Keep your eyes peeled for this year’s surprise guests.

Pride at the Beach

Best for: Beachside celebrations

If the canals aren’t enough for you, enjoy partying by the sea at Zandvoort aan Zee’s annual Pride celebration that combines salt air and self-expression. A pride party with a sun-soaked twist, this event includes a colourful parade through Zandvoort alongside parties at the many local beach bars that dot the coastline.

Pride Oost

Best for: Neighbourhood spirit

A staple of the yearly Pride celebrations, Amsterdam's eastern neighbourhood puts on a show at one of its best locations, the Javaplein. A community hub and meeting place for many in Oost, the square plays host to music, a market and makers in these colourful celebrations that put neighbourhood pride up there with LGBTQI+ solidarity.

World Pride Music Festival

Best for: Headliners and global names

A two-night celebration of music, unity, and pride that brings together global headliners, cutting-edge DJs and thousands of people from around the world, with headlines like Bebe Rexha, Paris Hilton, Honey Dijon and MNEK.

BOPS x KIKI WorldPride 2026

Best for: Pop heads

Image from Max den Hartog

Founded by Dutch-American DJ duo and pop fanatics Evert Groot and Tom Morgan, BOPS (a shorthand name for catchy pop tunes) has quickly become one of Amsterdam’s go-to queer parties. What began as a basement party for friends has since blossomed into a quarterly night at The Other Side, where anyone and everyone is encouraged to embrace the pop girl inside them. This year's World Pride special is a collaboration with London collective KIKI (not the Dutch DJ of the same name). Reeling off a roster of high-octane pop and house with a disco twist, BOPS is a welcome tonic for those looking for an alternative to techno and a kaleidoscopic night of queer joy. Come for the bops – stay for the feeling.

Janey Pride

Best for: Girls who like girls

The Netherlands' biggest all-women party goes all out this year with a triple threat: three massive events for the girls who like girls. First off, head to Noorderlicht in Noord for a BBQ get-together in the sun on the Friday of Pride (31 July). Then on the day of the Canal Parade (1 August), Janey turns up at Amsterdam institution Bittzerzoet for a sweaty and buzzy night before another party at Club Nyx (2 August) to round out the weekend in sensational and classic style.

Rapido and FunHouse

Best for: Circuit music

For the duration of Pride, Amsterdam's biggest circuit party goes all out with no less than eight different parties at Melkweg, Paradiso, and Westweelde, where the majority of the parties take place. Rapido and FunHouse have earned a reputation for sledgehammer beats and all-night debauchery. Primarily aimed at gay, bi, and queer men, expect these parties to attract the bulk of visitors to World Pride. Sex-positive and sexy, expect the Saturday party after Canal Pride, the Rapido Sunday party at Paradiso, and World Pride After to be the biggest editions.

International Drag Olympics

Best for: Camp fun

Don't miss the 22nd edition of the International Drag Olympics on 31 July as the perfect pre-tonic to the Canal Parade, for events like the Handbag Toss and Stilleto Sprint for an entirely new perspective on Olympic sports.

Canal Parade

Best for: Everyone

Pride in Amsterdam is synonymous with the Canal Parade and for good reason. Whether you're on a boat, dancing along the quay, or celebrating somewhere else in the city, Amsterdam's Pride Parade is like nothing else. Fleets of boats sail along the canals, each decorated around the theme of 2026: UNITY for World Pride. A special 300-metre-long stadium with 10,000 seats will be erected along the Prinsengracht this year in light of World Pride, for what will be Amsterdam's most celebratory edition yet. Read our full story on the history of pride here.

Pride street parties

Best for: After the parade

Celebrate the aftermath of the Canal Parade out on the street for free. The whole city comes alive, from Dam Square to Waterkant on the Marnixstraat, and from Stopera to the Reguliersdwarsstraat. Hospitality venues and DJs combine for a buzzy atmosphere of lovely tunes and ice-cold drinks.

FPQXL: 20 Years - Greatest Hits

Best for: Pop purists

FPQXL

A staple of Pride, Amsterdam's oldest pop party, FPQ, is coming to Paradiso to celebrate 20 years. Expect all the pop songs you used to play in your bedroom to play all night here – belt out a tune and don't worry if you don't hit the high notes, though fair warning to anyone who's dancing next to you.

  • 2 August, 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM | Paradiso | buy tickets

WorldPride + SPIELRAUM...IsBurning

Best for: Curated queer techno

IsBurning

A Pride staple becomes a World Pride special as IsBurning returns to Lofi and ClubRaum for two daytime parties of sexy, sizzling beats. One for all the LGBTQI+ community, the focus here is on curation and community. Popular with locals and visitors, get your tickets fast because this will definitely sell out.

Pon di Pride

Best for: BIPOC community

Amsterdam’s longest-running Black LGBTQI+ Caribbean club night goes bigger with a massive party celebrating the whole Queer Afro-Caribbean diaspora. One for the community and beyond.

Wedding Party XXL

Best for: Anyone who loves weddings

Amsterdam celebrates 25 years of same-sex marriage in 2026 and this party on Museumplein looks to commemorate this historic milestone. With thousands of visitors expected and major artists like Billy Porter, Bimini, KI/KI and Vengaboys performing, this is a wedding of city and celebration. There will even be mock wedding chapels if you fancy a (symbolic) wedding too.

Tropikali by Night x WorldPride

Best for: Mediterranean and Latin beats

Descend deep into the Tropikali world for a special edition which will close out World Pride. This festival – which usually happens every June – turns up in Paradiso in August, bringing back a Pride staple, ROSARIO, born from the sunny dances in Vondelpark and now reimagined indoors. An LGBTQI+ focused party, expect anything from Latin house to Balkan and SWANA (Southwest Asia and North Africa)-influenced pop in what is a truly global celebration.

Closing Concert WorldPride Amsterdam

Best for: One last dance

Round out the World Pride programme with this special concert at Museumplein (usually at Dam Square), which celebrates two weeks of coming together. Expect dance, music and performance from big and local names, a great way to say goodbye to all the new friends you've made across the many parties and maybe even make some new ones.
