The fact that the Rijksmuseum is one of the most famous museums in the world is mainly due to the fame of the masterpieces in the collection. Van Gogh's Self-Portrait, Vermeer's The Little Street, Jan Steen's Household and Rembrandt's Night Watch. But the work of Breitner and the Asian Pavilion also ensure that the Rijksmuseum continues to appeal to the imagination of new generations of visitors. That is precisely why there is always something to do in the museum, for everyone, young and old, from all over the world.
There is always something to do at the Rijksmuseum, for everyone. Workshops, tours, even theatre programmes. If you are visiting the Rijksmuseum for the first time, the tour The best of the Rijksmuseum is highly recommended. During the holidays, the museum organises special activities such as workshops or drawing in the Voorhal.
